Surrounded by mountains, alpine pastures and sweeping landscapes, you can enjoy peace, space and nature, and escape the hustle and bustle of everyday life. Away from through traffic and the hustle and bustle, an unobstructed view of the surrounding mountains opens up. Despite its location at 1,700 metres, the Berggasthof Hunerkogel is easily accessible in both summer and winter. Due to the high altitude of the Berggasthof Hunerkogel, it is advisable to use snow chains when travelling to Ramsau in winter. Before the turn-off to the Dachstein Road and the Berggasthof Hunerkogel, you will pass a toll booth. Simply take a ticket there. As a guest of the Berggasthof Hunerkogel, you are exempt from the toll. Further information is available on site. From Ramsau, the access road is well signposted. - **From Munich and Salzburg:** Via the A10 Tauern motorway to Eben im Pongau, then continue via Filzmoos to Ramsau am Dachstein and follow the signs towards the Dachstein. When coming from Salzburg during winter road closures or avalanche risk, choose the route via Altenmarkt im Pongau. For this, instead of the Eben motorway exit, take the next exit for Altenmarkt im Pongau and continue on the B320 towards Schladming. From there, follow the road until you reach the Ramsauer Dachsteinstraße. - **From Vienna and Graz:** Via the A9 Pyhrn motorway to Liezen, then via the Enns Valley road B320 towards Schladming and Ramsau am Dachstein. - **From Villach:** Via the A10 Tauern motorway towards Salzburg to the "Ennstal" junction (Altenmarkt/Radstadt). From there, continue on the Enns Valley road B320 via Radstadt and Schladming to Ramsau am Dachstein. From Ramsau, follow the signs towards the Dachstein. Parking is available directly at Berggasthof Hunerkogel. In winter, snow chains, an ice scraper, and a snow brush for your vehicle are necessary to ensure your car is ready to drive again without any problems in the event of snowfall. --- ### Anreise mit Zug oder Bus Arrival by public transport to Berggasthof Hunerkogel is easily possible. - Travel by train to Schladming station. This station offers excellent connections within Austria and across Europe. From Schladming station, regular buses run directly to Ramsau am Dachstein. - Bus line 960 runs almost directly to Berggasthof Hunerkogel (get off at the "Türlwandhütte" stop). From there, it is only a walk of about 200 meters to the Berggasthof --- ### Travelling by plane The nearest airport is in Salzburg. The journey by car to the Berggasthof Hunerkogel takes around 1 hour and 20 minutes.
